Our Beginnings
“Established October 18, 1992.”
Abiding Faith Baptist Church was founded on a vision to honor God through worship, service, and community. What began as a small gathering of believers has grown into a thriving ministry dedicated to worship, service, and spiritual growth. As we celebrate more than 30 years of ministry, we remain steadfast in our commitment to faith, service, and community. Abiding Faith Baptist Church continues to grow and evolve, embracing new opportunities to reach others while honoring the legacy of faith that brought us here.
Our Pastor
Pastor Bobby R. Morgan
Pastor Bobby Ray Morgan serves as the founding pastor of Abiding Faith Baptist Church in Missouri City, Texas. He was called to the ministry and preached his first sermon in 1973, and began pastoring in 1974. Before founding Abiding Faith, Pastor Morgan faithfully served at Lee Spring Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas, and Briarchase Baptist Church in Missouri City, Texas — where under his leadership, the congregation grew from 50 members to well over 1,000. Through the years, Abiding Faith has continued to serve as a beacon of hope—nurturing families, strengthening communities, and spreading the message of God’s grace and love to all who enter its doors.
